Unless you woke up this morning and decided to start a business, you will have some idea about what your business is going to be. There are scores of ideas, but the only thing that matters is your idea!
So if you have a dream, an idea, and a passion to start a business, then you are almost ready.

It's a fair question. After all, it's your business, and you are in charge. We understand.
However, we also understand that running a business is very different from anything you have done in the past. In fact, some aspects of running a business may seem contrary to the commonsense approach as you know it.
If you want to go it alone - that's OK!
You are more than welcome to return and take this course at a later time. However, if you want to avoid the many pitfalls of starting a new business, you have arrived at the right place.
We can't teach experience!
What we can do is share our wealth of experience working with owners of small businesses.
The internet - especially YouTube - is full of people who are experts at convincing the gullible how they can start a business with a couple of clicks and be earning the overly-clichéd '7-figures' by the end of the week.
These videos are easy to spot with their eye-catching BIG BLACK LETTERING ON A YELLOW BANNER thumbnails! All you have to do is ask yourself one simple question - why are these people sharing this information with everyone?
But if this is the path you want to take - this series of courses is NOT for you.

There can be risks
Starting a business is a big step. It can be both scary and exciting. Unfortunately, it's not something that can be taught at college or university.
Owning and operating a successful business can be very rewarding. At times It will be challenging, and there will certainly be some ups and downs!
Nearly half of new businesses fail in the first year, and most are gone by year five. Given these statistics, it's not unreasonable to believe that the odds may not be in your favour.
However, that is not entirely true!
What these statistics fail to reveal is the lack of business experience of those first-time dreamers, many of whom jumped right in, stuck their heads into the sand and hoped 'good luck' would hunt them down and turn their business into an overnight success.

You are the expert in your field. How you market and generate business is 100% your responsibility.
There are a lot of marketing schemes floating around today. Such things as - Inbound, Affiliate, Content, Influencer, Email, AI-driven, User-Generated Content, Social Media, Partnership Marketing, etc.
If all you are looking for is help with advertising, marketing and sales - this course is not for you!
If all you want is how to use a social media approach to marketing, there are many services available -
Choose Wisely!
Here are a few things you will need. Not only will you need them for this course, but they will serve you well from this point forward. If you already have them - fantastic!
Get in the habit of taking notes. Just because you are convinced you have a good memory - it is irrelevant. Use this Note Book wisely, use it often, and write down everything that is relevant and/or important. What you don't want to do is write memory-jogging words in some weird or wonderful cipher that you make up as you go because I will guarantee, you will not understand what your hieroglyphics mean the next day.
TIP 1 - Start each note with the date and time.
TIP 2 - Write the names and details of people if they are relevent to your notes.
TIP 3 - When taking Notes, use the W5H method - Who, What, Where, When, Why and How.
Just remember - memories tend to fade with time, some change with time, and many are often forgotten. But notes last forever - KEEP THEM SAFE!
There is an abundance of apps, most of which are bloated with useless options. These things are designed to fit the needs of the many. You want one that fits your needs - nothing more. You may argue that in the future, you will need more. No, you won't. If it works today, it will work forever.
Again there are an abundance of apps designed to help you keep track of your tasks. At first glance you will find Task apps for difference purposes such as - shopping lists, holiday lists, lists for special events.
YOU ONLY NEED ONE! Find one that is simple and straightforward - one that is easy to use and intuitive. Every little thing that requires your attention in the future should go into this one simple Task System.
You may find it beneficial to keep a journal. Just take a few minutes at the end of the day to write down your thoughts. It does not matter if they are personal or business-related, or whether or not you ever read them again. The mere act of writing them down is therapeutic. It gets these thoughts out of your head. As a bonus, at some time in the future, events may occur that warrant the need to recall dates or events.
This may not be applicable to every business. However, if your business has recurring clients and/or complex jobs, you will find it very beneficial to keep detailed notes on that client or job. In some professions, such as trades, auto mechanics, lawyers, doctors, etc., it will also be necessary to keep an appointment book. It's entirely up to you, but ask yourself if you can remember every little thing you did for a client and when. Can you remember every scheduled appoinment or cancellation? If the answer is no - then it's time to keep client records and an appointment book.
It doesn't matter if you use pen and paper, a tablet, a computer, or whatever. What does matter is that you record your notes and thoughts.
The very worst thing you can do is start jumping from one GREATEST APP to the next GREATEST APP. Unless your business involves reviewing useless apps, stay with what works for you. Do not allow yourself to be seduced. The system you have adopted is the system to stay with because that system is far better than any other system. Once you have a system in place, stick with it.
Why?
Because for YOUR system to work, it has to become habitual and when you use it without thinking about it - it's working perfectly. So don't waste your time trying to fix it!

These apps only work if you use them!
So use them so they become a habit.
